Lower Cowl Removal Tips
Back to Tips

Instructions obtained from GL1800Riders

Their are a total of 6 bolts holding it. 2 at the bottom and 2 in the middle. Also 2 more holding where the black inner fairing piece is. The ones that hold the cowl on at the top with the inner fairing have a longer bushing part.

Before replacing the cowl, take the two screws that go through TWO pieces of plastic and round off the shoulder of each with a file. It makes it soooooooo much easier to put back. Otherwise they hang up and refuse to go in.
